My second art exhibition is just around the corner, and seriously i cant wait!
I’ve been locking forward to this for a long time now, and I’m now working on the last preparations:
- Post exhibition update at your Portfolio Site…. Check!
I’m currently waiting for this months paycheck, so that i can throw it all out again on printing my artwork.
Though its a bit stressful at the moment this is absolutely the most exiting time. I’m looking forward to building the frames for my prints. I’ve decided to print 12 prints on canvas, as well as 1 large and 6 smaller framed works.
As the exhibition draws nearer I will be posting more pictures of my progress.

08.01.12:
Well, I pulled through and my art exhibition is now finally open. Starting at 09.29.12 and ending at 10.11.12.
I had a kick ass opening with a lot of people coming through the door all day. I´m glad to say i can finally rest up now after the two most hectic days I’ve had had in a long time. Even the day before the opening of the exhibition I discovered that half of my pictures were printed out in totally wrong colors. I had to rush back to the printing studio and pray that they would get it done in time. Luckily they did, but I had to spend the night setting up the canvas on my new-bought frames. I ended up with sours on all my fingers that night, but hell it was worth it! I had now all my pictures ready for the opening day :)

My name in Simen Meyer and I’m a graphic artist. This Portfolio site is mainly to show of my artworks,  update the world on my upcoming exhibitions, and it will be the main way to contact me for any purchase of my artworks.
After my last exhibition, I decided it was well about time to get myself a personal portfolio site. Www.simenmeyer.com is the fine result of the «Aware» WordPress theme, wich is displayed at www.WordPress.org.
The outcome of this site is the work of myself, and my good friend Ole Haug. Hes a photographer and filmmaker studying at Westerdals School of Communication, and is the reason this site exist.

My aunt, which has been an artist for several years now, suggested we should have an art exhibition together.   At that time, in September 2010 when i was 18 ears old, I had no intention of taking the step from being a hobby artist to have an exhibition of my own.
But when the question came, a «yes» just popped out of my mouth. Now that a date was set,
I had a goal to pursuit and about a year to come up with a set of pictures to show of.
Along the year that passed my interest in graphic design grew tremendously,
and I understood that this was something I just had to continue doing.
we worked hard on promoting ourself, and a local newspaper took contact and wanted to make an article about us.

We opened the exhibition at the 5. of November and kept it running until the 13. of November.
As a first-timer I had a very successful exhibition. i sold about 10 out of 13 images so you can say I got a flying start.
A couple of days  after the opening date a woman from a nearby gallery visited the exhibition. She told me that she was almost fully booked in 2012,
except two periods that wasn’t filled yet. So when she asked me if I wanted a spot at her gallery, of course I said yes.

So I’ve now got a new exhibition to look forward to, plus that me and my aunt are planning to have a new exhibition together in 2013.
